The Forum’s Mentoring Program is an one-of-a-kind experience that provides an opportunity for professional development for emerging women leaders in our region. Established in 2006, the program has benefited more than 300 women and serves as a way for Forum members to give back to the next generation of women leaders.
Program Focus: to enhance the leadership abilities and to elevate the skill level of emerging women leaders who have a desire and the potential to advance in their careers.
Program Duration: This is a 10-month program beginning with an Orientation in December. Mentees attend monthly Mentoring Circles in Center City (with the exception of July, August and December). There is a mid-year June event where all mentees come together with a special guest speaker. The program ends the following December at the Mentoring Program’s Wrap-Up Event.
Mentee Circles: Two groups of women (mentees) meet in Circle sessions each month to discuss a variety of topics. Mentees come from diverse backgrounds and the same group of mentees and a mix of rotating mentors and speakers attend monthly sessions.
The Role of our Forum Members: Members participate in these Circle sessions either as a guest speaker or as a mentor. Forum members provide guidance on topics including career goals, personal and career development, and workplace relationships.
